Corian lithophane

Hi Folks,

I made this last week and thought you might be interested!

Here is the piece without a backlight


And then with the backlight!


The piece of Corian was 6mm thick and I cut it using a 60deg 2 blade V cutter in one pass (maximum of 4mm deep) at 500mm/min but there was about 1000 passes (0.25mm step over per pass). All up it took about 6 hours to cut however next time I'm going to try cutting slightly shallower and but much faster with a roughing pass. I think I should be able to knock it off in around half that time.
